Westbury Baptist Church Response to Covid-19

Westbury Baptist Church re-commenced services on Sunday 5th July and will remain open, subject to any further communication from the Tasmanian State Government.

The Church Leadership is mindful of the Church demographic and of government advice that those that might still be vulnerable to Covid-19, remain at home. This is in no way a demand that the vulnerable stay at home, but simply a suggestion.

Until notified otherwise, the Church Leadership has decided that Friday Bible StudyChat ‘n Choose and Kids Club will not take place until further notice. It may well be the case that these activities will recommence in the new year, but once again, this will depend on government advice and discussion with the relevant participants.

Likewise, some Fellowship and Study Groups, established during the period of Church closure, will continue to meet.

The Westbury Baptist Church is required to adhere to the Minimum Standards of the Covid-19 Safe Workforce Guidelines and has developed a Covid-19 Safety Plan, which meets the social distance guidelines, the 2m2 space requirements and disinfection procedures.

Visitors are absolutely welcome but please be advised that there are safety processes to be observed before entry. Any inconvenience is regretted but we are confident that you will understand our desire to keep everyone safe.
